Cross Promotion - Inner West Council

Inner West Council ranked number one in the first week of registrations by getting a head start on promotion using fun props, local media stories and social media content. Watch the video presentation to learn more.

Elizabeth Heath, Communications Coordinator at Inner West Council, shares their experience as a newly merged council and how Cross Promotion on social media was key in their success in Garage Sale Trail. The council got a head start on engagement by using fun props and the REUSE Kit to create their own promotional materials, which they then used for social media and local newspapers. Their head start ranked the council with the highest number of registered sales within the first week.

The council also partnered with Addison Road Community Centre, where Inner West residents without garages or spaces to host their own sale were able to still participate on the day. This presentation was recorded in a shared council webinar with Huon Valley Council, City of Stonnington, and Sutherland Shire Council.​
